Congress on 6&7 October 2016 in Montréal

The Congress showed how the Sharing Economy and trends in the digitalisation of legal services impact legal insurers. An important question was how legal insurers can master and benefit from these developments to succeed in this digital environemnt.

Delegates had the opportunity to share the views and experiences of high calibre experts like April Rinne, Thought Leader and Advisor in Sharing Economy, Élizabeth Corte, President and Chief Justice of the Court of Québec, Frédéric Pelouze, CEO and Co-founder of WeClaim or Sally Robertson, Vice-President of Attorney Services at LegalZoom. The inter-active programme offered many occasions for discussions, Q&A and exchanges between delegates and speakers. Also, we organised a meeting with éducaloi to understand how and why clear legal language improves access to justice and visited the Cyberjustice Laboratry at the University of Montreal where delegates saw how the use and integration of IT in judicial or extra-judicial conflict resolution processes is possible.
